Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SinceFeed ("SinceFeed," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use SinceFeed. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password, plus sign-in and password-reset records.
• Your activity in SinceFeed: topics and starter packs you follow, private custom topics you create or refine, saved updates, and which updates you have seen ("last checked" progress).
• Things you send us: feedback, issue reports, and messages.
• Usage and device data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and similar analytics collected through cookies or similar technologies.

2. How we use information

• to provide your feed, track what is new since you last checked, and keep your saves and topics;
• to set up and monitor custom topics, including sending your topic description to AI providers to identify sources and judge relevance;
• to send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset;
• to review feedback, fix problems, secure the service, and prevent abuse;
• to understand usage and improve SinceFeed, including deciding which topics to add to the shared catalog.

3. Custom topics

Custom topics are private to your account and are not shown to other readers. Administrators can see custom topics to operate and support the service. If we add a similar topic to the shared catalog, we do not identify who created it.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run SinceFeed:

• Service providers for hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, web search, AI processing, and analytics (including Google Analytics). They may process data only on our behalf.
• Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect rights, users, or the service.
• Business transfers, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

Topic descriptions sent to AI and search providers are used to find and evaluate public sources; we do not send your email address with them.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential storage to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to measure page views. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features may not work without essential storage.

6. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, security, or backup purposes.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your follows, topics, and saves in the app. You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information by contacting legal@sincefeed.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

9. Children

SinceFeed is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

10. International users

SinceFeed is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed there or elsewhere our providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app or by email.
